What a fun surprise in Lahaina!  Since we make candy, and use a lot of Guittard chocolate in Linders Fancy Toffee, we must explore chocolate businesses for new ideas and perhaps new products.  The Ku’ia Estates is a private cacao farm and chocolate factory.  The tour takes you to the cacao farm, and covers the entire process from fruit growth and harvesting to the tasting of 9 of their chocolates.  It was really interesting, the premium chocolate was delicious, and 100% of profits donated back to Maui community.
